Revitalizing and improving our urban landscape has always been the vision behind Urban Partners. Since its founding in 2002, Urban Partners has achieved this goal through innovative architecture, sound design principles and sensitivity to the environment and the people it affects.
In its inception, Urban Partners was active in the development management and construction management of a variety of successful client-based projects. We soon grew and adapted our business model to develop our own land with our vision of environmentally sensitive development. Since then, our company has developed various single-family, multi-family and commercial projects valued at over $135 million.
Throughout this real estate market’s decline, Urban Partners has grown by expanding upon our core competencies in the construction and engineering fields and forming Urban Partners Construction in 2007. What began as a natural extension into general contracting became another platform to achieve our vision of revitalizing and improving our urban landscape. In a very short time, Urban Partners Construction has developed into an industry leader of innovative projects and has amassed a diverse portfolio ranging in projects from the hospitality, corporate, institutional and military sectors as well as custom residential.
This diverse range of projects has given us the pleasure of working with some outstanding architects, engineers and designers and building some very successful projects. Yet it’s building relationships with our clients that we find to be most rewarding. We value partnering with innovative clients and continuing to provide more choices in response to the demand of people who are looking for more in their living and working environments. Our clients understand that each project does not occur in a vacuum and is part of a larger urban landscape that needs to be viewed in context.

Edmundo Gonzalez
Edmundo Gonzalez founded Urban Partners in 2002 to specialize in the development and construction management of high density urban in-fill projects.
In addition to focusing on the construction arm’s strategic planning and business development, Mr. Gonzalez oversees the company’s bonding, insurance, certification and licensing requirements. In the real estate arm, Mr. Gonzalez oversees the company’s development projects and is active in all budgeting, revenue forecasting, project financing, sales & marketing.
Prior to starting this company, Mr. Gonzalez served as Senior Developer for Dayco Holdings and Senior Project manager for the Related Group of Florida, one the largest privately held multifamily developers in Florida. In addition, to his work experience in the United States, Mr. Gonzalez has worked for two multinational real estate companies in London, UK and Madrid, Spain. Mr. Gonzalez is a licensed general contractor and graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science in Real Estate Development and a Bachelors degree from the University of Florida in Finance.
Ronnie Leinwohl
As Executive Vice President and Managing Partner, Mr. Leinwohl is active in both the construction and development arms of Urban Partners.
Within the construction division, Mr. Leinwohl focuses on business development, estimating projects and the construction management of select projects. In the real estate development arm, Mr. Leinwohl oversees all facets of the development process for the company’s residential real estate projects, namely land acquisition, property entitlements & project budgeting.
Ronnie Leinwohl has been with Urban Partners since the company’s inception in 2002. Prior to joining Urban Partners, Mr. Leinwohl served as Vice President for Montgomery Land Company. Mr. Leinwohl is a licensed civil engineer and worked for Kimly-Horn & Associates on over $5MM of civil engineering projects. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Engineering degree and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Charles Gilhousen
Senior Project Manager.
Mr. Gilhousen has over 25 years of residential and commercial construction experience having previously worked on the renovation and new construction of numerous Winn-Dixie supermarkets, Scotty’s Lumber and Zaxby’s restaurants.
Mr.Gilhousen holds a State of Florida Certified Builder Contractor’s license and holds various other industry certifications. Mr. Gilhousen has been with Urban Partners since 2009 as a Superintendent and Senior Project Manager.
Christopher Konios
Senior Project Manager.
Mr. Konios has over 20 years of high end residential, commercial remodeling and new commercial construction experience throughout the New York Metropolitan area as well as northeast Florida.
In the last 5 years, he has worked almost exclusively on a multitude of design build projects while working for both CK Design Build and Kendale Design Build. Mr. Konios holds a State of Florida Certified Builder’s license and Florida Home Inspector’s license.
Greg Barnett
Vice President of Residential Construction.
Mr. Barnett came to Urban Partners Construction in 2011 with over 10 years of residential construction experience. Mr. Barnett also owned and operated his own construction company and built homes from $75K to over $1MM.
Mr. Barnett is a 4th generation builder and has completed projects all over Northeast Florida, Tallahassee and the North Shore of Chicago.
Tammy Hitzeman
Project Coordinator.
Ms. Hitzeman previously worked for Lennar Homes as a construction manager where some of her duties included quality control reporting, contract compliance and on-site coordination.
Prior to Lennar Homes, Ms. Hitzeman worked for Pinnacle Service Group, a national commercial maintenance company operating in all 50 states with 24,000 stores nationwide, where she served as Office Manager and then as a National Operations Manager.
